FAQ

The questions that come up before an account exists. After one does, the plans page answers the money ones live.

What is Craftome?

A novel studio built around a world bible. You record entities, relations and canon rules; drafts are generated against that record, and the state changes each chapter implies arrive as proposals you approve. Chapters, chat, review and the editor all live in one place.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Free plan carries the whole studio — a novel, a monthly AI word budget and the inline refine toolbar — and it never expires. Paid plans widen the budgets and unlock retrieval-grounded generation and automatic canon proposals.

How does the monthly AI word budget work?

Every plan has a monthly allowance of AI words, counted from what the model actually wrote rather than what you asked for. Each account carries its own period anchor, and the counter resets for you every month — you never share a reset day with anyone else.

How do payments work?

Checkout is taken by Paystack: local currency in the African markets it settles in, international cards elsewhere. Your plan flips the moment the payment settles — both the webhook and the return link confirm it, so there is nothing to re-check.

Can I cancel or downgrade?

Anytime, in one click from the plans page. Moving back to Free costs nothing and opens no checkout; your budget simply returns to the free allowance.

Who can see my novels?

Only your account. Every read and write in the studio is scoped to its owner, and admin tooling can move plans or reset budgets without ever opening a manuscript.

Do I have to use the AI features?

No. The editor, the world bible and the review queue work as plain writing tools; generation, chat and refine are there when you want them and budgeted when you use them.
